Kitchen

We have provided a starter welcome pack including tea/coffee/milk which we hope will help to get your holiday off to a good start.

Please look in all the cupboards to familiarise yourself with the contents.

There are spare bin bags under the sink if needed.

There is also a folder in the kitchen with instructions on how to use the appliances.

Living Room

The remote control for the TV is in front of the TV. If you wish to watch Netflix please feel free to log on to your personal account.

Behind the screen is the ironing board (the iron is in the kitchen cupboard next to the bins) hoover and a mop – please feel free to use if needed.

Sofa Bed

To use the Sofa bed (if booked), please unzip the sections at the back of the sofa and gently pull out the legs, you will then need to push the back of the sofa forward which automatically releases the sofa so it can be pulled backwards to a flat position, please be gentle.

Please make sure the legs are securely positioned on the floor.

To turn the bed back into a sofa, gently lift the back and push forwards until it clicks into the upright position, then fold the legs and zip them into the back of the sofa.

The bedding consisting of sleeping bags, and pillows is in the wardrobe in the single bedroom.

Bathroom

All towels are provided and there is a hand-held shower in the bath. Due to the sloping ceiling we can’t fix the shower to the wall – the charm of a quirky cottage 😊

Bedroom

All bedding is provided and we ask that you strip the bed of the items that you have used before leaving and place in the laundry bag which can be found in the wardrobe, but please leave all the protectors in place.

Towels

We have provided one set of towels per guest to use inside the property. When you depart, please place any used towels inside the bathtub. If you should go to the beach, we request that you don’t take these towels with you.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in the property and will set off the smoke alarm. Also, the smell of smoke can remain in the property for weeks. Please do not smoke inside the property, but feel free to smoke outside away from the front door, and the other cottages.

Parking

Unrestricted parking is available at owners own risk. Please park in the space allocated for Cottage 81a, Lavender Cottage. There is only one parking space per cottage, so if you have more than one car, or have visitors, please park these cars on the road.

Heating

The heating thermostat is on the wall near the front door and will come on automatically in the morning and go off in the evening, if you wish to turn the heating up then please adjust the thermostat, when you go out, please can you turn the heating down, thank you.

Rubbish

The bins are in the kitchen cupboard next to the oven, for trash and recycling – please see inside bin lid for which side is which.

If you need to empty the bins, there are spare bin liners under the sink, and please put all rubbish in the bins in the bin store opposite the property.

Blue bins are for recycling only

Green bins are general waste

Check Out

Check out is at 10am, unless otherwise agreed.

Please place all used crockery, pans, glassware and cutlery in the dishwasher, there are dishwasher tabs under the sink, just pop one in the tray in the door and close the little lid.
Turn the dishwasher on and press start as early as you can before you leave.

Please leave all used towels in the bath, strip the bed and leave the bedding, in the laundry bag, which you will find inside the wardrobe. We have quite a few cottages so stripping the beds really helps us timewise and we really appreciate it.
